Melanie is an intern in both our engineering and testing & inspection departments.  She draws details in Revit and AutoCAD while assisting our special inspectors with testing concrete samples.  She is currently working on her Bachelors degree in structural engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

When she’s not busy with school or at BASE Melanie enjoys reading, especially fantasy and action and adventure novels.  One of her favorite books is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.  She also likes to paint landscapes and solve puzzles. Melanie is someone who’s a rarity nowadays – she knows how to drive a manual transmission.
