Juan was a petroleum engineer in Venezuela prior to immigrating to the United States. That prior experience has helped Juan quickly acclimate himself to the building construction industry. Juan now has experience in high- and low-rise residential structures for private and public sectors. His primary responsibilities are special inspection for concrete construction which includes conventional and post-tensioned structures, and he also performs concrete and masonry sampling/testing.
Juan loves to surf. Being in the ocean and focusing on the waves disconnects him from the busyness of life. He has fond memories of Pui Pui, his favorite beach in a small fishing town in Venezuela, where he grew up. Juan also enjoys cooking. He cooks a variety of dishes, but his specialty is pasta with salmon and mussels.
