Mark is an associate at BASE and is licensed as a structural engineer in Illinois and Hawaii. He is a member of several American Concrete Institute committees and the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois. Mark has a reputation for being a construction-conscious engineer, always thinking about how his designs are actually built and what keeps contractors up at night. Mark brings a holistic approach to his designs, drawing on his experience in a broad range of markets, materials, and geographies to develop innovative yet economical and constructible designs to address each project’s unique challenges.

He is a huge Illini fan, having earned his BSCE and MSCE from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in addition to being born and raised in Champaign. When Mark’s not working or dominating trivia night as a team of one, he enjoys being at home with his wife, son, and cats.
