Rolando is a seasoned structural engineer with over 30 years of experience in structural analysis, design, and drafting of building and non-building structures, including specialty structures and their foundations and anchorage to other structures. His primary responsibilities include project management, design, and quality control.
Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, when the Soviet presence there was the strongest, Rolando escaped to the US in 1980. Since then he’s lived in California, Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Hawaii. Rolando is an avid runner and the Honolulu Marathon and Pittsburgh Marathon Relay are two of his favorite races thus far. Although he truly loves engineering, being a teacher would have been his second career choice.
