Tanmay joined BASE’s team in Chicago with engineering experience in India and extensive university research and course work in post-tensioning and seismic performance of structures. At BASE he has designed high-rise buildings in the US and India as well as hotels, churches, and mixed-use residential structures. Tanmay also has developed expertise in the analysis of post-tensioned concrete and puts it to work on slab design for high-rise projects. He also provides construction support services for post-tensioning suppliers by reviewing friction loss calculations.
Tanmay is originally from Vrindavan, India, which is about 120 miles south of New Delhi. His favorite sports team is FC Barcelona but he is a die-hard Roger Federer fan. In his spare time, he likes to read books (mostly fiction), improve his chess skills and cook. His all-time favorite book is My Name Is Red by Orhan Pamuk.
