BASE is a Best Firm To Work For

HONOLULU, HAWAII – JUNE 1, 2021 – In an annual listing of Best Firms to Work For, BASE ranked fifth in the structural engineering category and tenth in the 1-49 firm size category.  This year marks BASE’s 16th appearance in the list and the only structural firm to make the list 11 years in a row. The national ranking is compiled by Zweig Group and recognizes firms for superior achievements in criteria such as workplace practices, firm culture, employee benefits, and employee retention rates.

“We’re honored to again be recognized as one of the best structural engineering firms to work for in the nation,” said BASE President Steve Baldridge. “This year was particularly special after weathering 2020’s COVID crisis. We are truly humbled.”

“This is more than a contest, it is a powerful look at what the employee experience looks like in today’s AEC firm.” said Zweig Group CEO Chad Clinehens. “Firms can use this ranking and the data it yields as a powerful tool in the recruitment and retention of staff, which is the number one challenge for many AEC firms. The 2021 winners have a lot to be proud of, and tell the world that they are a best firm to work for.”

BASE has engineered many of Honolulu’s most prominent structures such as The Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki Beach and The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, projects in Chicago including Avenir, and Fulton East, and Tsubaki Tower in Guam.
