This 400-foot mixed-use tower is anchored by a 125-room (127-key) Mandarin Oriental hotel and includes 109 branded residences. Upon arrival at the luxurious ground level porte cochere, hotel guests are escorted to the main hotel elevators where they are whisked to the hotel lobby on the 20th floor. The elevator doors open to reveal a spectacular view of a reflecting pool that appears to extend out to the Pacific Ocean. The reflecting pool is supported by a pair of triangular-shaped structural steel box trusses constructed out of both HSS and wide flange members that cantilever approximately 38 feet from the face of the main tower structure. The full floor height of the truss provides enough space below the top chord for a unique guest bar space with a sloping window opening giving patrons a wonderful view of the Level 9 amenity deck on the podium structure.
