This state‑of‑the‑art aquatic facility delivers approximately 4,700 SF of new space, anchored by a 3,100 SF dual‑height natatorium. The design also revitalizes 1,300 SF of existing building area, blending new construction with repurposed spaces to create a cohesive, modern environment.
The structure of the natatorium includes reinforced CMU walls supporting long-span glulam beams and tongue‑and‑groove wood decking, creating a column-free interior. Support spaces feature reinforced CMU walls supporting a precast plank roof. Foundations for all spaces consist of shallow spread and strip footings.
Materials were chosen carefully to integrate new construction with the existing building, delivering both structural integrity and a unified aesthetic.
